Product

  • Q. Why are your candles so expensive?

    A. Our price point reflects the handmade nature of our products. All of our pottery vessels are perfect for reuse, so you’re investing in a high quality pottery piece that you will be able to enjoy for years after you are through burning the candle.

  • Q. My candle didn’t burn all the way down, is something wrong with it?

    A. For safety purposes, we place wick sustainers in all our candles. These sustainers are designed to prevent the wax from burning all the way to the bottom of the vessel for safety reasons. Normally, there is about 1/2 inch of wax left to ensure the bottom does not get too hot.

  • Q. Why does my product looks different than the last time I ordered it or as the picture in the catalog?

    A. Due to the handmade process, there is variation in color and finish which makes each candle unique.

  • Q. How come you no longer make my favorite color or fragrance?

    A. We try to introduce colors and fragrances that keep our lines fresh and on pace with current consumer trends. Sometimes a color or fragrance is available as a limited run.

  • Q. Is my candle still good if the wax melted or beaded up while sitting outside?

    A. Yes, the candle is fine and functional. This will not hurt the candle as long as the candle is sitting on flat surface and is level. We encourage you not to move your candle if the wax is soft to protect the integrity of the candle.

  • Q. Will it hurt my candle if it is outside in extreme heat or in freezing weather?

    A. No, this will not harm your candle as long as it’s resting on a flat surface. Freezing temperatures will not crack your vessel.

  • Q. How do you get the remaining wax out of the vessel?

    A. Place the candle in your refrigerator for about 1 hour. After this step, the wax should come out easily when pried with a spoon. The wick sustainers are held in place by a small amount of glue and should also be pried off with firm pressure. For Artisan series, wash with soap and water and finish with an all-purpose cleaner for a great shine! Our food safe vessels can be put in the dishwasher before using.

Safety Tips:

We’re all candle lovers here, but candles can be dangerous if left burning unattended. Here are a few safety tips to follow while enjoying your candle.
  • Never leave a lit candle unattended or in within the reach of children or pets.
  • Make sure to discontinue use of your candle when ½” of wax remains.
  • Keep the melt pool clean and free of wick trimmings and any debris at all times.
  • Trim wicks when they are more than ¼ inch long. If black smoke appears, make sure to extinguish candle immediately and allow to properly cool before trimming wicks.
  • Never burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time and with multi wick candles, we suggest burning them longer.
  • Your candle should always be placed on a flat stable surface.
  • Avoid burning your candle where there is a draft as uneven burning and even black smoke could occur.
